Goal setting for 2023

Have you set your 2023 goals yet?

Goal setting can stir up a host of emotions from overwhelm to excitement and everything in between! It’s not uncommon to float around between these emotions many times too.

For me, I’ve set myself some personal and professional goals, with set action steps and timelines! I plan to check in regularly to keep myself accountable and I have my coaches/mentors to keep me on track too.

I’m also applying this strategy to the clients I support. Asking those challenging questions and getting them to really think about how they’re going to action the change they want to see.

It’s been a tough couple of years, and I’m sure we’re not out of the woods just yet… the ever-changing landscape we navigate from out of the pandemic, the cost-of-living crisis, strike action all around, it is definitely playing a huge part in the planning process.

What I have found in the 20+ years I’ve worked with people, and from my own experience, is that sometimes, making changes is actually hard. Really hard!! To implement new things, new steps, new strategies to hit your goals can be a real struggle.

Here’s a few learnings that I took from my career:

– Commitment: If you totally commit to your goals, follow the steps and take massive action you WILL smash your goals.

– You have to prioritiseAnd it’s not always possible to do everything all at the same time.

– Being stuck is FEAR: We know we’re wired to not like (or want) change. Or things that take us outside of our comfort zone. This can keep us from achieving what we desire. Facing those fears and pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone is how we progress and grow!

I really hope these help you too! I’d love to know if you put this into action, come on over to the group and let us know how it goes, we love sharing in each other’s successes!!
