Trowers & Hamlins
Specialising in employment and pensions – we help organisations and businesses manage change, head off issues and tackle problems with pragmatic, progressive advice.
Our experts can help you build a workplace fit for the future of work and develop effective people strategies to help your business grow.
Our team has the breadth and depth of employment, pensions and immigration law. Our clients are varied, but all benefit from our wide range of technical expertise and sector knowledge. Our employment team works for PLCs, charities, private businesses, registered providers and organisations across the not for profit landscape. Our pensions team clients include trustees and employees of pension schemes large and small. Fluent in sectors and industries, we are uniquely placed to help our clients achieve their objectives.
Employers in all sectors have faced challenging times since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. We have worked hard to help our clients navigate many novel issues and align ourselves with key trends; including agile working, diversity and inclusion and business transformation. Employment litigation also continues to be a theme, with claim levels at their highest point for many years. In terms of pensions, dealing with potential deficits, identifying risks and finding ways to reduce them remain a priority. Our role is to guide our clients through these challenges, present innovative solutions and deliver peace of mind. In November 2020, we were delighted to see our hard work rewarded by us being named Personnel Today’s Employment Law firm of the Year 2020.
Whilst many of our client relationships are long established, we are always keen to work with new organisations. Adaptable and accessible, we invest time in getting to know our clients and their key objectives, as well as building a strong rapport. Our major focus is on working with employers, but we do occasionally act for senior executives. Pragmatic and down-to-earth, you can rely on us to give a clear picture of all the available options and a firm recommendation of what to do for the best.
