Unwrapping a Merry and Resilient December

Tips for a Joyful Year-End

Ah, this time of year is simply magical, isn’t it? I just love the cozy nights, candles lit, the fire on, delightful wine and food, and twinkling lights that turn every corner into a wonderland. It creates a coziness that no other season seems to touch right?! I’m even crossing my fingers for a white Christmas – I’m a true believer in the magic of this time of year, in case you couldn’t tell!

After a whirlwind of a year, with plenty of ongoing business planning for the next one, I’m taking a page from my own book and hitting the brakes from mid-December. It’s time to recharge, kick back, and shift my focus to enjoying quality time with family, including long walks with Luna.

It’s been a crazy time here in the UK, with everything from storms, torrential rain, and financial issues that are taking a toll on the cost of living. Those are a lot of low-energy vibes swirling around, and I’ll admit, they’ve had their impact on me. Staying positive can be a real challenge at times, right?

Being able to spot and acknowledge those signs of low-energy vibrations is crucial for maintaining a healthy mindset. Equally important is having the tools and techniques to elevate your mood when you’re feeling down and not allowing yourself to linger in those low vibes for too long.

It’s perfectly okay not to be okay all the time; perpetual happiness is an unrealistic (and unhealthy) expectation. What I’m talking about here is having the means to lift yourself up when you’re feeling low and not letting those gloomy feelings hold you captive.

Reducing the time spent absorbing negative news and dedicating more hours to things that bring you joy can elevate your vibrational frequency. It’s crucial to limit the negativity in our lives – the content we consume, the people we surround ourselves with, and the baggage we allow to clutter our lives. Take a moment to assess any negativity in your life – can you minimise it?

The greatest act of kindness we can offer is to ourselves. Being mindful of negative self-talk will pave the way for a more positive mindset. Remember, we can control our reactions to life’s challenges and our attitude toward them. The low moments won’t last forever. Stay positive, be kind to yourself, and remember that you’ve got this!

As we approach the end of the year, it’s easy to feel drained and long for a break. However, we still have a few weeks left. Think about how you want to wrap up the year. Maybe all you need is a bit of rest, or perhaps a little nudge to end the year on a high note. There’s no right or wrong way to do it. Consider setting just one small goal, something easily achievable, and then go ahead and conquer it!
