We recognise that job searching can be a very exciting time for some people, perhaps those who have qualified or are choosing to move on in their career. For others, who may have experienced redundancy, dismissal or settlement agreements, it can be a worrying and unsettling time.
The job market has changed significantly, with increasing numbers of applications per vacancy. Many applications are now submitted online, and assessed by ATS systems; many interviews are now competency based, and personal statements are often also assessed against competencies. Having documentation and skills which are compatible with these systems is really important when job searching. In addition, many roles are advertised online, so having access to, and profiles on, online sites is extremely useful for job seekers.
The services we provide are tailored towards both individuals, and organisations.
For individuals – we work with people at all stages of their career, from school leavers through to senior executives and professionals. Services include CV writing, cover letters, personal statements, LinkedIn profiles, career coaching/job search support and interview skills training.
Services are tailored to your individual requirements, and include a phone call to discuss achievements and skills in detail so we can get to know you. This call, and the documents, will support you to identify your strengths and transferrable skills, and be ready to embrace your job search.
For organisations – very often, redundancies, dismissals or settlement agreements can generate a range of emotions both for the person leaving, and colleagues left behind.
Offering outplacement support can ensure that staff leave with support following their termination. This can include any combination of the services detailed above – although the most commonly ordered package includes a CV, Cover Letter, LinkedIn profile and interview skills training.
For the individual who is leaving, very often they do not have up to date documents and may have not had an interview for many years. Job searching, on top of the emotions of leaving, can seem very daunting.
Having the support of an external provider – with a pre-agreed package provides support during the transition period. Some aspects can be provided on a group basis if you or your staff would prefer.
For the organisation, or colleagues remaining, this can show your commitment and demonstrate your ongoing support and focus on employee wellbeing. This may also mitigate risk of future claims, if your employee goes on to seek further employment.
As a qualified HR professional, I can also support with a range of HR Consultancy activities, which may include advising on restructures, redundancies or dismissals prior to the outplacement support.
